THE INTENTION OF CREATION

I wanted to create the scent of an illusionary flower: the Lotus Flower. A magnificent bloom that unfolds on water, resting on a bed of thick, green leaves. For me, it first embodies purity and serenity, and then intuition. I found myself immersed in Monet’s Water Lilies, experienced both through his paintings and his garden in Giverny.

At the beginning of the creative process, after extensive research into the origins and symbolism of the lotus: intuition, resilience, spiritual growth, triumph over adversity, as well as its Egyptian and Buddhist myths: a certainty emerged.

The connection between serenity and intuition revealed itself during creation. I had my fragrance. I sought to capture this feeling of calm through the imagined scent of the Lotus Flower: a floral, green and aquatic composition, softened with powdery iris and mimosa, for a comforting and enveloping fragrance, like a breath inspired by Monet’s Water Lilies, to be worn on the skin.

Why this name? I am deeply attentive to my dreams. I write them down upon waking when they seem to carry a message, like a conversation with myself or beyond. This fragrance opens a connection to something greater than ourselves, sometimes elusive, the mystery of another world.
