THE INTENTION OF CREATION

La Nuit des Temps is the latest creation among my five fragrances. It came to life in a moment of instant clarity. One
morning, I woke up and said softly to myself: “Vanilla has not yet been explored within one of my talismans. I want to feel its amber facet, and vanilla is, to me, the very essence of communion between two beings.”

My intention was to reclaim this raw material, stripping it of its usual overpowering, seductive facets, and moving away
from the familiar “solar flower” associations found in many fragrances. I wanted to infuse it with verticality, illuminating it through woody and mystical contrasts.

Frankincense entered the composition without hesitation, a material deeply rooted in spiritual and religious rituals across cultures.

The fragrance becomes a symbiosis, a duo between two materials: vanilla and frankincense. Vanilla embodies universal love, while frankincense represents faith.

Why the name La Nuit des Temps? It refers to Barjavel’s novel, which tells a love story that transcends time, one of the rare books I have read more than once without ever losing interest.

In the novel, the characters discover, alongside the reader, a love story between two beings from an ancient civilisation, and are profoundly moved by this intense love that survives through time. Through their story, it restores faith in the existence of love, despite conflict and war...
